This is due in part to her being the most popular as well as being in the same age range herself which makes her more relatable for her peers. Lorde, and to a lesser extent Lana Del Rey and CHVRCHES, have completely shifted the paradigm of pop music in the age of social media in which virtually every late teens or early twenties Tumblr-pop artist has been influenced by one or more of these three with Lorde having the most influence among them.
